...or as wild as accountants can get…

One component of a great company culture is integrating fun in everything we do. Employees spend the majority of their waking hours at work, and having fun not only stimulates creativity, but it also relieves stress, boosts morale and increases communication.

Recently, the operations team at Netmail went to La Ronde, a Six Flags amusement park in Montreal Quebec.  We ate, we laughed, we went on rides and to end the evening, we watched a spectacular Fireworks display. What’s great about outings like this is that we can be ourselves, can express our silly side and grow closer because of it. Our ‘professional’ guard drops, our personalities start to shine and this, in the end, helps us become a more fluid and unified department, ready for anything that gets thrown at us.

But don’t take my word for it, see what a couple of my teammates had to say…

“It was a long time overdue for the OPS team to have some quality time for team building therefore when that time came where we heard we would be going at La Ronde, everyone was excited to finally spend time together outside of work. For me, I would say the evening was like when you’re running on the beach shore on a warm summer night and then a nice cool breeze passes thru, it was nice and delightful, just long enough to make us realize that this should be done at least twice per year.” – Kevin Plouffe, Sales Operations

“Awesome evening! We’re only a team of 5 but, boy are we tight! As a matter of fact, we’re not just a team; we’re friends. It’s just a shame we couldn’t share this great evening with the rest of Netmail; we’re all a big amazing team!" - Marco Jean, Accountant
