All good things come to an end eventually...  With spring finally around the corner, spring cleaning is in order, and this includes updating or at least planning to update any end-of-life Microsoft or Novell Enterprise software that is still deployed in your organization.

On the Microsoft side, this includes the Windows XP operating system, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003, and Windows Server 2003. On the Novell side, this includes GroupWise 7 and 8.

With support for these end-of-life products winding down or already ended, it is advisable to retire these products and upgrade all such systems to the most current versions for optimal security, product functionality and compatibility with third party software such as the Netmail Platform. Upgrading to the current versions of messaging and operating system software will ensure compatibility with soon-to-be-released and future versions of Netmail. For your convenience, the end-of-support dates and Product Lifecycle Timelines for products still supported (but on the way out) are included below:

Novell

Novell GroupWise 7 and 8

GroupWise 7 is currently in the Self-Support phase of the Novell Product Support Lifecycle (ending 15 August 2015). General support for GroupWise 8 will end at the end of 2014, with extended support continuing through 2017. Upgrading to the latest version of GroupWise has significant benefits, including comprehensive mobile device support, integrations with third-party products and the Novell Vibe social collaboration platform, and a new hosted deployment option. Details can be found here.

For your convenience, the Product Lifecycle Timeline for GroupWise 7 and 8 is included below:
